Description at back of photo: "The grave of Andrew Ward, one of the settlers of Stamford, as seen through the gate of the old Cemetery at Fairfield, Conn., where he lies buried. He removed from Stamford to Fairfield and died there. He was an ancestor of Aaron Burr and Henry Ward Beecher received his middle name from him."
